Sara Gruen

American/Canadian author of adult novels. Born in Canada, she now lives in America and has dual citizenship. She tried her hand at writing when she lost her job and her first book
Flying Changes was an immediate bestseller. She has since written two other best-selling books, with another one due at the time of writing.

Sara is an avid animal lover who is interested in animal rights and the interaction between animals and humans. Some of the proceeds of her books go to animal charities.

All her books are about the relationship between people and animals. Two of her books are horse themed and form a short series about a family whose life has been dominated, for both good and bad, by horses. One of her books -
Water For Elephants - is now being adapted for film.
